Smackdown #190 – June, Week #4

The show opens with William Regal in the ring with a mic. Regal: “Tonight, we will have 4 qualifying matches for Money in the Bank. We will find out the last participant in the MITB Ladder Match when Daniel Bryan takes on Johnny Gargano. We will also see 3 Tag Team Battle Royal qualifying matches. We will see Moustache Mountain take on Ohio Versus Everything. We will see The Briscoes take on The Batiri. And in our main event, we will see Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn take on The Hardy Boyz. After tonight, Smackdown will officially have all of our participants for the Money in the Bank Ladder Match and the Tag Team Battle Royal.”

Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) vs. OVE (Dave & Jake Crist) (Tag Team Battle Royal Qualifier)
The match starts off with Tyler Bate and Dave Crist doing some chain wrestling. Both men get to their feet to applause from the crowd. Bate looks at Dave then hits Bop and Bang (distracted punch in the jaw). The match continues for 20 minutes with both teams getting the upper hand back-and-forth. Dave knocks Trent to the outside then hits a Suicide Dive. Tyler Bate follows with a Moonsault over the top rope to the floor. Jake sees the pile of bodes and hits a Suicide Dive of his own. Jake throws Bate in the ring. Jake goes for a Pump Kick but Trent Seven avoids it and gets behind him and hits The Seven Stars Lariat (Ripcord Lariat). Seven picks up Jake and gives him to Bate who hits The Tyler Driver ’97 (Tiger Driver) and goes for the pin, 1...2...3.

Daniel Bryan vs. Johnny Gargano (MITB Qualifier)
These two men put on a wrestling clinic in a match of the year candidate. After 25 minutes of non-stop action, Bryan has the slight upper hand. Bryan hits The Yes Kicks then tries to lock in The Yes Lock but Gargano makes it to the ropes. Bryan grabs Gargano but eats a kick to the face. Gargano hits The Hurts Donut (Full Nelson into a Flatliner). Gargano hits Bryan with The Lawn Dart and looks to end the match. Before Gargano can hit the Superkick, Tommaso Ciampa appears from out of nowhere and jumps up on the apron. Gargano knocks Ciampa to the floor and yells at him. Gargano goes for the Superkick but Bryan avoids it and rolls him up with a school boy roll-up, 1...2...3.
Winner: Daniel Bryan

After the match, Ciampa is seen on the ramp, laughing at Gargano as we go to a commercial break.

When we come back from the commercial break, Charly Caruso is backstage with The Kings of Wrestling. Charly: “Cesaro and Kassius Ohno, we already saw Moustache Mountain qualify for the Tag Team Battle Royal at Money in the Bank. Later tonight, you will find out the final two teams for the battle royal to determine your number one contenders. Do you have any preferences or any fears?” Cesaro: “Charly, We have proven time after time that there isn’t a team out there that even comes close to our skill level. Send any team at us and the result will always be the same...us in top.” Ohno: “Charly, we will take on any and all comers and the only thing left to say when we are done is ‘Long live the Kings’.”

The Briscoes (Jay & Mark Briscoe) vs. The Batiri (Kodama & Obariyon) (Tag Team Battle Royal Qualifier)
From the moment the bell rings, this match is a brawl. These four men grind each other down. After 15 minutes, Kodama hits a Powerslam on Mark. Jay runs in and attacks Kodama from behind. Jay looks to hit The J-Driller (Double Underhook Piledriver) but Obariyon breaks it up. The Batiri hits The Seventh Circle (Torture Rack assisted GTS) on Jay. The Batiri tosses Jay Briscoe over the top rope to the floor. The Batiri waits for Mark to get up and hit The Skull Bronzing (Drop Toe Hold/Running Knee Strike Combo). Kodama covers Mark, 1...2...3.

Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. The Hardy Boyz (Matt & Jeff Hardy) (Tag Team Battle Royal Qualifier)
After 20 minutes of back-and-forth action, The Hardy Boyz are on a roll. Matt hits The Side Effect on Zayn. The Hardyz hit a double leg drop then go for a pin but it is broken up by Owens. Zayn hits a Michinoku Driver on Jeff. Matt runs in and takes a Blue Thunder Bomb from Zayn. Owens tosses Jeff in the corner and hits a clothesline. Zayn runs in and hits The Helluva Kick then throws Jeff out into The Pop-up Powerbomb from Owens. Owens covers Jeff, 1...2...3.
