Smackdown #207 – October, Week #3

[John Greatrix]

John Greatrix’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring. Greatrix grabs a mic. Greatrix: “Cody, let’s keep this short and sweet. Last week, you and your boys wanted to push your luck and stick your noses in my business. That’s ok. Tonight, Hangman Page, you’re the next one on my hit list. I’ll see you later tonight so be ready.” Greatrix throws the mic down and storms to the back as we go to commercial.

Tyson Dux w/Tarik vs. Cesaro w/Kassius Ohno
These two men trade holds for a solid 20 minutes. Cesaro locks in a Crossface. Dux struggles and finally gets to the ropes. Cesaro attempts to pick up Dux but is caught and rolled up in a Boston Crab. Cesaro makes it to the ropes this time. Dux goes for a Lariat but Cesaro counters with a kick to the gut. Cesaro goes for The Neutralizer but Dux reverses out of it and counters with a Lariat. Dux lifts Cesaro onto his shoulders and hits a Death Valley Driver in the corner. Dux covers Cesaro, 1...2...3.
Winner: Tyson Dux

After the match, Dux continues attacking Cesaro. Ohno and Tarik get in the ring and start trading blows. John Greed and Brent Banks run to the ring and join Dux and Tarik as they beat down Cesaro and Ohno. The Bludgeon Brothers rush to the ring and help The Kings of Wrestling. As all eight men fight in the ring, William Regal’s music hits and he comes out to the stage. Regal: “If you guys can’t get along, then I guess you’ll have to get it on. John Greed and Rowan, get ready because you guys are going to fight right now.”

John Greed w/Brent Banks vs. Rowan w/Harper
These two 300+ pound men have one of the hardest hitting matches of the year. After 15 minutes, Rowan hits a Running Crossbody and covers for a 2 count. Rowan looks to hit a Full Nelson Slam but Greed stomps on Rowan’s foot. John Greed hits a Package Piledriver then climbs to the top rope. Greed hits the Frog Splash and goes for the pin, 1...2...3.
Winner: John Greed

We go backstage to Charly Caruso with Anti-Hope. Charly: “Omeganis, last week you defeated Dolph Ziggler. How are you feeling after that?” Omeganis: “Charly, This is my show. This is Anti-Hope’s home. If people want to make their way from Raw, or Nitro for that matter, we will gladly be the greeting committee.” Anti-Hope leaves the camera view and we go to commercial.

Lacey Evans vs. Ruby Riott w/Liv Morgan & Sarah Logan
These two women go back-and-forth for 10 minutes. Lacey goes for a Moonsault but Ruby moves at the last second. As Lacey gets to 1 knee, Ruby hits a Running Hurricanrana. Ruby goes for The Riott Kick but Lacey counters with The Woman’s Right (Right Hook). Lacey goes for the cover but before the ref can count, Sarah Logan and Liv Morgan climb in the ring and attack Lacey.
Winner by Disqualification: Lacey Evans

After the match, Rhea Ripley and Reina Gonzalez rush to the ring and chase off The Riott Squad.

John Greatrix vs. Hangman Page
The bell rings and John Greatrix hits a Shotgun Dropkick. Greatrix starts to stomp Page in the corner. Greatrix sits Page on the top turnbuckle and hits a Superplex. Greatrix continues the onslaught for 15 minutes. Greatrix ducks a Short-Arm Clothesline and hits The Greatrixer (Famouser). Greatrix gets a 2 count. Greatrix gets to a corner and sets up for The Johnnie Kick. Before Page can get to his feet, Cody runs down and pulls Page out of the ring. The ref starts yelling at Cody and tells him to leave. Cody starts arguing with the ref. While the ref is distracted, Marty Scurll slides in the ring behind Greatrix and hits a German Suplex then slides out of the ring. Greatrix slowly gets to his feet but gets hit with The Buckshot Lariat (Slingshot Flipping Lariat) from Page. Page goes for the cover, 1...2...3.
Winner: Hangman Page

After the match, Cody and Marty slide into the ring. Page, Cody and Marty stomp Greatrix. Page and Marty pick up Greatrix and hold him for Cody. Cody hits Greatrix with Din’s Fire (Vertebreaker). Page, Cody and Marty stand over Greatrix as the show ends.
