Raw #217 – December, Week #6

We start the show with Vince Russo in the ring. Russo: “Today, we finish the Santa’s Little Helper Holiday Tournament. We will see Nailz take on Glacier and D’Lo Brown take on The Boogeyman. Also tonight, Essa Rios will be facing Disco Inferno for the Light Heavyweight Championship. Happy New Year and next week we start this off with a huge announcement.”

Nailz vs. Glacier
As soon as the bell rings, Glacier tries for The Cryonic Kick (Superkick) but Nailz catches his leg and sweeps his other one out from under him. Nailz climbs on top of Glacier and starts punching him. Glacier keeps trying to get him off. Glacier rolls over on to his stomach and Nailz locks in the Sleeper Hold. Glacier tries to make it to the ropes but it’s no use. Glacier has to tap out.
Winner: Nailz

D’Lo Brown vs. The Boogeyman
The match goes on for 20 minutes with D’Lo dominating the match. Boogeyman makes a little bit of a comeback after catching D’Lo with a low blow. Boogeyman whips D’Lo into the corner and hits a running big splash and goes for the pin. D’Lo manages to kick out at a 2 count. D’Lo uses the ropes to get to his feet. Boogeyman attempts to clothesline him over the top rope but D’Lo reverses it into a backdrop and sends Boogeyman to the outside. D’Lo grabs hold of the top rope and hits a slingshot crossbody to the outside. D’Lo forces Boogeyman to his feet and whips him into the stairs, driving his shoulder into them. D’Lo rolls Boogeyman into the ring. As D’Lo hits the ring, Boogeyman charges at him. D’Lo hits The Sky High and makes the cover, 1…2…3.
Winner: D’Lo Brown

Essa Rios (c) vs. Disco Inferno (Light Heavyweight Title Match)
As soon as the bell rings, the two men start trading blows. Disco gets the upper hand after catching Rios in the eye with a thumb. As Rios staggers back holding his eye, the ref goes into check on Rios. Rios is holding his eye and the ref tries to call the ringside doctor over to look at Rios. With the ref distracted, Disco kicks Rios directly in the groin and drags him to the middle of the ring and makes the cover, 1…2…3.
Winner and NEW Light Heavyweight Champion: Disco Inferno

Nailz vs. D’Lo Brown
The bell rings and D’Lo and Nailz meet in the middle of the ring. Nailz goes for a Big Boot and D’Lo ducks under the boot and launches himself off the ropes behind Nailz and goes for a crossbody but Nailz catches him out of the air and drops him to the mat with a Powerslam. Nailz forces D’Lo to his feet and whips him into the corner. Nailz follows it in with a running Big Boot and goes for the cover, 1…2… but before the ref can make the 3 count, Kama & Mark Henry come running down to the ring. Kama jumps up on the apron and distracts the ref. With the ref distracted, Henry slides into the ring and hits The World's Strongest Slam on Nailz and drags D’Lo over Nailz. Henry slides out of the ring and Kama jumps off the apron. The ref turns around to make the count, 1…2…3.
Winner: D’Lo Brown

As D’Lo is announced the winner, confetti falls for the rafters.

Vince Russo is in his office when there is a knock at the door. He yells “come in” and the door opens and a hooded figure stands in the doorway. Hooded Figure: “Vince Russo, you’re time is almost up. Chaos is on the horizon and when it gets here, you will realize that your worst nightmares are only the beginning.” Russo yells for security. The hooded figure slams the door shut and the lights go out. A few seconds later, security bursts in the room to find just Russo sitting in his office chair looking angry as we go off air.
