Smackdown #165 – December, Week #5

Post  John Greatrix on Thu Dec 28, 2017 12:17 am

John Greatrix’s music hits and he comes to the ring. Greatrix grabs a mic. Greatrix: “Hello everybody and welcome to CWA Smackdown right here in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.” The crowd erupts with cheers. Greatrix: “Tonight, unlike our Raw counterparts, we will not be having a silly award show. We are here to give you a night of wrestling, not a nap. If Oyster thinks that you people want to see ‘The Phuzzies’ instead of some real wrestling action, then I’m sure he is dead wrong. Coming up next, you will see Los Ingobernables de Japon taking on Suzuki-gun and later tonight you will see Mark Snider, Bray Wyatt, Matt Riddle and Bobby Roode in a Fatal 4-Way for a shot at my Million Dollar Title. So, without further ado, let’s get this thing started.”

Los Ingobernables De Japon (Bushi & Sanada) vs. Suzuki-gun (Taka Michinoku & El Desperado)
Taka and Sanada start off the match. Taka hits a bicycle kick then a Shining Wizard to start the match. Taka locks in The Dick Killer (Cobra Clutch Crossface) but Bushi breaks up the move. Taka and Sanada are out of the ring and Bushi and Desperado are now the legal men. Desperado hits a spinebuster. Desperado tags in Taka. Taka runs in and hits Bushi with The Michinoku Driver. Taka goes for the cover but Sanada breaks up the pin. After 20 more minutes of back-and-forth action, Desperado hits Sanada with a powerslam. Desperado picks up Sanada but Sanada hits Desperado with the green mist. While Desperado is trying to get his eyes clean, Bushi connects with The MX (Diving Code Breaker). As Sanada Superkicks Taka off the ring, Bushi covers Desperado, 1...2...3.
Winners: Los Ingobernables De Japon

After the match, Mass Genocide walks to the ring and proceeds to beat down Taka and Desperado. Sadistic hits a Ripcord Spinning Backfist on Taka as Psychotic hits a Sitout Powerbomb on Desperado. Mass Genocide hits The Final Solution on Taka then hits Black Sunday (Double Shining Wizard) on Desperado. Mass Genocide leaves the members of Suzuki-gun laid out in the ring as we go to commercial.

After the commercial break, The BDK’s music hits and Jakob Hammermeier, Pinkie Sanchez, Lince Dorado and Tim Donst make their way to the ring. Jakob grabs a mic. Jakob: “Last week, Cesaro weaseled his way into another match against my BDK brethren. Cesaro may have gotten lucky against Lince Dorado a few weeks ago but tonight he doesn’t stand a chance against ‘El Presidente’ Pinkie Sanchez.” Cesaro’s music hits and he makes his way to the ring.

Cesaro vs. Pinkie Sanchez
Similar to his match against Lince Dorado, Cesaro has dominated this entire match. After 10 minutes of dominance, Cesaro hits a running European Uppercut in the corner then hits a Pop-up European uppercut. Cesaro sets up Pinkie and hits The Neutralizer. Cesaro pins Pinkie as he stares down Jakob, 1...2...3.
Winners: Cesaro

Kassius Ohno is walking backstage when he is attacked by Elias. Elias stomps Ohno until Mike Quackenbush makes the save and chases off Elias.

Mark Snider vs. Bray Wyatt vs. Matt Riddle vs. Bobby Roode
As soon as the bell rings, Snider and Wyatt start trading blows as Roode and Riddle stand back and watch. Roode and Riddle look at each other then attack the other two men. After 30 minutes, all four of these men are exhausted and beaten up. As Wyatt and Snider battle on the floor, Roode and Riddle fight in the ring. Riddle goes for The Bro to Sleep (GTS) but Roode slips out the back. Roode hits Riddle with The Glorious DDT but before he can make the cover, Wyatt spins Roode around and hits Sister Abigail. Wyatt taunts the crowd as Justin Langley and Darren Wadforth run down to the ring and get Wyatt’s attention. Snider slides back in the ring and hits Wyatt from behind. Snider hits Wyatt with a belly-to-belly suplex then hits a running splash. Snider drags Wyatt to the corner and hits a Gorilla Splash. Snider goes for the pin as Langley and Wadforth hold Roode and Riddle back, 1...2...3.
Winner: Mark Snider

As Anti-Hope is celebrating after the match, John Greatrix’s music hits and he comes out to the stage. Greatrix holds the belt over his head and yells back-and-forth with Anti-Hope as the show ends.
